Bespoke Products

All our oak products are made in-house in our workshop by ourselves, individually made, bespoked to our clients specification and can not be returned once delivered for a refund as these items are bespoke please note - bespoke items are not covered by the consumer protection regulations 2000.

Masonry Openings & Door Sizes

We accept masonry openings / door sizes from our customers or their architects, builders / fitters but once work as started, sizes given are final and can only be changed at your own expense so once design and sizes have been agreed and work already started in our workshop, any alterations will incur further costs payable by the customer . please note on all sizes given we will always advice accordinly and do offer a call and measure service. Terms of payment

we ask for 50% deposit (not refundable) on placing an order with us and the final balance is payable on completion in our workshop before delivery with cleared funds We accept most card payments, cheques or by bank transfer

Conditions Of Sale

1 - Slight variations in sizes and colour may occur due to the handcrafted nature of the products. This is why people buy our products because no two items are the same.
2 - Any prices or quotations obtained verbally will not be deemed valid, nor will any responsibility or intent be accepted.
3 - Any quotations given in writing or by email is only valid for one week.
4 - All prices are exclusive of fitting and delivery. We reserve the right to make alterations without notice. 5 - Deliveries will not be undertaken without full postcode, contact name and telephone number. Please note Bespoke oak doors does not accept any liability for deliveries by a third party (for example a courier service) and they are sent at the customer's own risk.
6 - All requests for returns of none bespoke iron work (door furniture) and none bespoke oak products such as door frame kits must be made in writing. The customer will be charged a restocking charge and the goods are to be returned at the customer's own expense. The goods must be in a re-saleable condition and must be authorised by us. If packing is not complete no credit will be given. All goods will be thoroughly inspected before credit is given.
Please note - we do not accept returns of any oak doors as they are all bespoke products made to the customers specification
7 - Claims for shortages, damaged goods or incorrect supply must be notified within 3 days of receipt. No responsibility will be accepted after this interval as the goods will be deemed examined and satisfactory.
8 - To the best of our knowledge, all definitions, descriptions and photographs contained on our website and brochure are correct at the time of loading and going to press. We cannot, however, be held legally liable for any inaccuracies of definition or description.
9 - In the event of goods proving faulty by way of manufacture, will replace the same but in doing so, no liability, consequential or otherwise, is accepted.
10 - We can not be held responsable for any change in size, shape or anything else such as warping, expansion or shrinkage of kiln dried doors stored or fitted into properties where moisture levels are above normal due to recently or newly plastured walls.
11 - Bespoke oak doors warrants that the goods are of merchantable quality (as defined in the sale of goods act 1979) but does not warrant that the goods are fit for any specific purpose and accepts no liability for any loss or damage suffered by the customer as a result of any defect in the design, materials or workmanship of the goods.
12-Normal lead times vary from 6 to 12 weeks and unless we have in writing agreed by both parties, we can not guarantee a specific date 

Fitting

a - We can supply independent fitters if required but under unforeseen circumstances can not be held legally liable for any damage to your oak products or iron work caused by poor workmanship by them, so this would have to be taken up directly with the fitter as they are independent from us. Please note - all our fitters are self employed and independent from Bespoke Oak Doors.

c - It is the clients responsability to finish the opening where mortar is required, plaster board or plaster and re - paint over damaged / soiled areas.
d - Where existing door frames and doors are taken out by either your fitter or one of our recommended independent fitters, we can not be held legally liable for any damage to your property. (also includes skirting board, architrave, carpets and all types of flooring, furniture, plaster, painted walls, wallpaper and all other interior items)

Please note, there will always be some damage accure where existing door frames / doors are taken out and or new door frames / doors are fitted.

Architectural Hardware

Stocked items can be returned if note suitable but the customer must cover carriage. Any items that we do not stock and have to be ordered in for our customer are not refundable so can not be returned.

Guarantee

We can only offer guarantees where terms and conditions are agreed by ourselves and the client (both parties must sign). All glass supplied or fitted to include window rails/beading bonded on glass is not part of any guarantee on your doors.

Please note - no gaurantees can be offered on you doors unless you take our oil dip service and agree to our door maintenance program.

Oak Grades

All our doors, frames, door linings, architrave and skirting are made from mixed character oak, QF2, QF3, QF4 and QF5. If cleaner boards consisting of no defects (superior grade) or small defects (grade 1) are prefered, you must put this in writing or send an email.

Please note - this will carry a premium surcharge in pounds stirling for each of these two grades, making the bespoke door and/or other oak products more expensive.

Oak Product Size

All sizes listed in inches is always X inch, which means, the size before the oak board is machined to its finished width / length.

Example

A 4" x 2" board would finish at approximately 3 3/4" x 1 3/4"
 

Completion

Normal lead times vary from 6 to 12 weeks and unless we have in writing agreed by both parties, we can not guarantee a specific date 


Delivery

Three options are available

1 - you can call at our workshop in North Yorkshire and collect your products but we will not be held responsable for any items lost or damaged in transit to your destination.
2 - we are available to deliver ourselves 7 days a week and take full resposability of any goods damaged in transit
3 - or, we can send your products by a third party courier (we use Interlink) on their freight delivery service. Although we spend time and money on wrapping / packaging this is at your own risk and Bespoke Oak Doors will not be liable to lost or damaged goods caused by a third party or courier.

Third Party /Interlink Courier Insurance Cover

In any unforseen circumstances where goods have been lost or damaged by a third party / courier we will represent our clint and put in a claim through their insurance cover to have goods replaced or renewed at once but cannot be held responsable for their final dession if items / materials don,t comply with their own terms. (Please see exclusions in their terms and condition.
