Mortice locks

Mortice locks are situated within the body of a wooden door and are the most common type of lock used in the UK. A mortice is a recess or pocket that as been cut into the edge of a wooden door, designed to fit a mortice lock case. Common mortice locks include deadlocks and sashlocks.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

These locks are British standard BS3621, bearing the kite mark.
